Where Purpose Finds Its Pulse
As a cardiologist, I’ve spent much of my career thinking about how the heart strengthens us and connects every part of the body to a greater purpose.
At Texas Tech Health El Paso, our mission is just as vital as we improve lives through education, research, clinical care and service to the Borderplex.
That spirit is reflected in this issue’s theme, “Heart of HERE,” which celebrates the people, places and impact that move us forward.
This issue also marks an exciting new chapter as we welcome Becky Lee as our new vice president for Institutional Advancement. Her leadership will help deepen the partnerships that make so much of our work possible. Through your support, we can continue advancing programs that benefit families across West Texas.
In our places section, you’ll discover stories that showcase our mission in action. Match Day highlights that mission, with graduates choosing to remain in El Paso to serve the community a majority of our graduates call home.
You’ll also see the powerful impact of generosity throughout this issue. Every student pursuing their calling, every patient receiving care, and every donor investing in our mission reminds us why Texas Tech Health El Paso matters.
Together, we are building a healthier future for the Borderplex shaped by the people who advance our purpose, places where care comes to life, and the lasting impact made possible by the Heart of HERE.
